Privacy Policy & Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

We are Catchmytour (Private) Limited (“Catchmytour”, “we”, “us” or “our”). We are pleased to serve as your travel booking agent.

These Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) explain what you can expect from us when you book travel services through us, and what we expect from you as our customer.

The word “you” means any person who visits our website, makes a booking with us, or uses our services.

By completing a booking or using our website, you accept this Agreement and the terms of any relevant Supplier.

2. Products and Suppliers

We offer a range of travel products supplied by various independent companies and service providers (“Suppliers”). Every Supplier has its own set of terms that apply to your booking in addition to these general conditions. Please make sure you read and understand them.

Some software and content on our website belong to us or our Suppliers and may be subject to extra rules.

Catchmytour (Private) Limited works only as an intermediary, Booking Agent and Visa Service Provider for products and services that we do not supply ourselves (such as flights, transfers, hotels, meals, tours, cruises and similar).

We are not a joint seller of those products. You will have a separate contract with each Supplier.

Airline fares may rise after purchase because of extra costs charged by the airline or government. Catchmytour may charge you the difference to cover higher fees, taxes or currency changes.

3. Payments

We can hold a reservation for you, but the price is not fixed until full payment is received and documents are issued (subject to the Supplier’s rules).

We will tell you the deadline for full payment. When you give us your payment details, you authorise us to pay the relevant Suppliers on your behalf.

We may refuse payment by personal cheque.

Even after you have paid in full, Suppliers can still raise the price. As your Booking Agent we will pass any increase on to you.

For package holidays, changes in fuel costs, taxes, fees or exchange rates can also alter the final price after full payment.

4. Cancellations and Changes by Suppliers

Suppliers may cancel or change bookings under their own terms.

If we are acting as your Booking Agent, we will notify you as soon as we learn of any major change, provided there is enough time before you travel. We accept no responsibility for any costs that result from such changes.

Depending on the Supplier’s conditions, you will usually be able to:

  • Accept the new arrangements.
  • Accept an alternative offer from the Supplier (if available).
  • Cancel and claim any refund that the Supplier allows (we cannot guarantee a refund).

5. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

By booking with us or using our website you agree to follow this Agreement and all Supplier terms that apply to your travel.

You accept these terms for yourself and for anyone else included in the booking. You must pay all amounts on time.

If you break any of these rules we may:

  • Cancel your booking.
  • Keep any money already paid.
  • Refuse access to the travel service.
  • Recover any costs we suffer because of the breach.

You confirm that:

  • You are old enough to use our services and enter into a legal contract.
  • You have authority to accept these terms for everyone in your party.
  • All information you give us is accurate.

You must tell other travellers about these conditions. You remain responsible for any use of our services under your name or account.

6. Booking Changes Requested by You

If you ask us to change a booking and the change is allowed:

  • Our standard service fees will be charged in addition to any Supplier fees.
  • Changes depend on availability and the rules of the product you bought.

Many airlines and Suppliers do not allow name changes. They usually treat a name change as a cancellation, so normal cancellation fees will apply.

Flights must be used in the order shown on the ticket. If you plan to skip a flight, contact the airline early. Missing a flight without notice can lead to extra charges, cancellation of the rest of the itinerary, or the ticket becoming invalid.

7. Cancelling Your Booking

If you cancel, you may receive a partial refund according to:

  • The Supplier’s cancellation rules.
  • Our standard fees shown on your booking confirmation.

We need the original documents or vouchers before we can process any refund.

Deposits paid before the final balance due date are non-refundable.

Refunds are paid only after we receive the money back from the Supplier. Tickets that have been partly used are usually non-refundable.

We are not responsible if a Supplier fails to return the money.

If your cancellation reason is covered by travel insurance, you may claim the charges from your insurer.

8. Airline Reservations

If the airline has no record of your confirmed booking when you check in:

  • Stay at the counter.
  • Check that your ticket status shows “OK”.
  • Airlines are normally required to put you on the same flight, find another flight, or pay denied-boarding compensation.
  • Ask for a supervisor if needed.

9. Making a Complaint

If something goes wrong during your trip, tell the Supplier (hotel, airline, etc.) at once.

If the problem is not solved, contact Catchmytour immediately through the office that handled your booking or via our website.

If you wait too long we may not be able to help while you are still away, and this could affect your rights under this Agreement.

10. Travel Documents and Destinations

You must check that every detail on your travel documents is correct and tell us about any mistakes straight away.

Treat travel documents like cash. Lost, stolen or damaged documents cannot always be replaced.

Before you book, read official government travel warnings for your destinations. Offering travel to a place does not mean we claim it is safe.

11. Passport, Visa and Immigration Requirements

You alone are responsible for meeting all passport, visa and immigration rules for your journey. Check requirements with the embassies or consulates concerned.

We accept no liability if you cannot travel because you failed to meet these rules.

Special student, youth or teacher tickets require a valid International Student, Youth or Teacher ID card. Confirm this with your Catchmytour consultant.

Visa Services

We only assist with visa applications. We are not responsible for any embassy’s decision to grant or refuse a visa. We will pass the documents you give us to the embassy, but we accept no responsibility for mistakes or invalid papers you supply.

12. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is essential. We strongly advise you to take out proper cover for the whole trip. Some bookings require insurance by law.

We can help arrange insurance, give you a quote, and answer questions about it.

13. Vaccinations

Some destinations need vaccinations. It is your duty to obtain all required inoculations before travel.

14. Hazardous Materials

You must not carry dangerous goods on aircraft, either in luggage or on your person.

This includes explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidisers, poisons, corrosives and radioactive materials.

Common examples: paints, lighter fluid, fireworks, tear gas, oxygen cylinders and radio-pharmaceuticals.

You may use our website and services only for genuine bookings. Speculative, false or fraudulent reservations are not allowed.

You must follow all applicable laws when using our site.

16. Indemnification

You agree to protect and compensate Catchmytour (Private) Limited, our Suppliers, and our officers, directors, staff and agents against any claims, losses, damages or expenses (including legal fees) that arise from:

  • Your breach of this Agreement.
  • Your breach of any law or third-party rights.
  • Your use of our website or services.

17. Business Continuity Policy

Catchmytour (Private) Limited maintains a Business Continuity Management System suited to its important operations.

The system is designed to protect people and assets and to restore critical services as quickly as reasonably possible after any disruption.

It follows the principles of ISO 22301:2019 and aims to meet the expectations of our customers and partners regarding reliable service and the protection of our reputation.

18. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.

If any part of this Agreement is found to be invalid, the rest remains in force.

We may update these Terms at any time. The version on our website at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
